GREAT WORLD WAR OR THE THOUGHT OF PASTOR BY THE COFFIN OF ASSASINATED PREGNANT WOMAN.

We had to disturb our sponsors again – the funeral company in Mariupol which during many years give coffins for “Republic “Pilgrim” (children’s rehab center). Quite a young woman was beaten up to death in methodological, cool and professional way by his unofficial husband on her third month of pregnancy…
     
As it often occurs there was nobody to bury her and when the criminalists and pathologists finished their standard and in this case completely unnecessary procedures our deacons started organizing funeral. The coffin was brought to the porch of “Pilgrim”.

Here in the center Nastya has been living for a year already – 14-year-old daughter of the victim. But when the coffin had been brought she couldn’t find strength to get out of the building. She confessed me later: “I don’t want to see her…”.

We didn’t open the coffin… the show is too horrible. Before the prayer I was speaking briefly to the children gathered around and mentally trying on the situation to their mostly still alive parents. Then “Our Heavenly Father” and my fostered kids armed with shovels and short scrow bars started towards the cemetery with the temperature outside - 25C.

And as for me, coming back to my office I thought again about the war. The awful war which is going on in this world nonstop. But, according to a mysterious arrangement, the world prefers not to notice it. Since if today somewhere terrorists will explode something and 10 people will die, the whole world would talk about it in the night TV News. But this very day on the fields of the PERMANENT SPIRITUAL WAR  which never stop for a single day within the whole history of this world tens of thousands people will die in “everyday” murders, in “habitual” suicides and drunken parties, of “hackneyed” drugs and usual  home dramas. All those people are in fact the victims of the fight which can’t be compared to any campaign in the history by its scale. Even if we count all the victims of altogether tsunamis and earthquakes, volcanoes and fires – THE MAIN GREAT WORLD WAR exceeds in number of victims and we don’t want to pay attention to it in the stream of our fussy days.

For me GOSPEL – is the VICTORY in this war. This is the WAY OUT if not for all the mankind at least for personalities. The way out due to Christ, BREAK THROUGH, which breaks the chain of curses and leading out the soul from darkness into LIGHT.

P.S. By the way, the daughter of the assassinated woman was baptized 2 days before the death of her mother. And it means she has got WAY OUT now!
