The first president of “Republic “ Pilgrim” has visited Sicily.

Andrii Dudin, ex- president of the state of former street kids, alongside with 5 other teens from Donetsk region has made a friendly visit to the island Sicily where their acquaintance with other youth from different nations they combined with a voluntary work in one of the most beautiful places of the island – national reserve “Biviere di Gela”.

During 9 days the young people from some countries  - Spain, Italy, Ukraine and Moldova, - lived and worked in the national reserve “Biviere di Gela”. The idea of the exchange was in the social integration of the youth of different countries through intercultural communication and volunteers’ work. Warm climate of Sicily, amazing nature, lake at the territory of the reserve and bright sun surrounded volunteers who did their work in the children’s playground there as well as in the observatory for watching birds. The guy was interested in the story of andrii Dudin – former street kid and now Worship leader of the Church of Good Changes, author of many songs.

Andrii Dudin, ex- president of “ Republic “Pilgrim”: ‘ This is the place where the birds stop when they fly to warmer countries, for instance to Africa or on their way back. They stop here at Sicily and they they move on to Europe. We, youth from different countries, were invited to help to fix the camp for children there and sure enough one more goal was to help us to make friends.”

The camp for volunteers meant lodging  of young people of different nationalists altogether. During this time the guys were not only working but having rest, participating in different games with the youth, they cooked together and made days of national cuisine.

Andrii Dudin, ex- president “Republic “Pilgrim”: “We, Ukrainians, were cooking our national dishes – cutlets, varenyky stuffed with potato. They liked it so much. I loved Spanish food a lot. It was so delicious and so uncommon for us”.

The project partakers could come to different cities of Sicily – Jela, Calta Jerone and Piatsa Arminerina, visited local museums, walked and took pictures. In one of the days we climbed to the known volcano Ethna.

Andrii Dudin, ex- president “Republic “Pilgrim”: “ We were going to the volcano Ethna on the height of about 10000 ft where we viewed fabulous views on the Adriatic sea. In general it was really cool and fun. We made so many friends, saw a very beautiful country and I am very thankful to God that he gave us such an opportunity”.

Soon the audio album of Andrii Dudin wil be issued under the name “ First President” and sure enough the first copies will be sent to the new friends of Andrii.
