GOOGLATA HATA AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO WORLDLY CLUBS.
On the eve of 2010 a new project for the youth of the Church of Good Changes and children from “Republic “ Pilgrim» started in the charity fund “ Pilgrim”. In “Googlata hata” young people can gather any time. Anybody who comes can find an activity they like, to find new friends, to discuss future projects and just spend time having fellowship with God and with each other. Gennadiy Mokhnenko, the president of the charity fund “Pilgrim”, ideological inspirer of the project: “We must find alternative to computer clubs, various youth hangs out, which bring no benefit and harm. It especially touches upon those guys who spent years in our children’s center “Republic “Pilgrim”. We are their family and that is why we must help them stand up and we should do our best for them not to feel forgotten even if they are adults already”. Everyday fellowship of young people contributes to it, - Gennadiy Mokhnenko finds. The schedule of the events has been worked out in “Googlata hata”. For each age group each day something special is going on: events for Royal rangers, teens’ small group, and various contests for youth, worship parties, night prayers, internet café, table games “I am” or simply tea time and free fellowship. Each young man chooses what he or she likes by themselves. Here they are happy to see everyone and any time. Tatyana, the coordinator of “Googlata hata”: “The purpose of this project is for the youth to have an active leisure time and fellowship. We can find new friends and to strengthen our relationships. For pilgrims it is even more efficient because they have no relatives in most cases. They attend the event in Googlata hata regularly for they actually have no other place to go to… We’re glad that our youth doesn’t go to night clubs looking for entertainments but they come to Googlata hata and have fun here. We are certain that abiding in God people change to the better. And let all of them know that it is never boring with God!”

Только жаль что так мало молодежи ходит туда....и часто бывает прийдут и в инет засядут либо в карты уно....ОБщение нужно!!!!!!

Это очень классный проект. Теперь мы осознали, что это не напряг для служителей, а благословение. Чем больше мы общаемся, тем веселей нам живётся, и к тому же отличный способ приобретать новых друзей.

After the extreme summer with trips and journeys the pilgrims started to study again. The first day of study is always special for the pilgrims. The staff and the kids get prepared for this day in advance: they get the school uniform ready, organize a special concert – the children learn poems by heart. And everybody – kids and teachers look forward to this day.

Almost a year ago at the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” was open and successfully functions a rehab project in the village Polevoe named Crisis – center. This is a place where homeless people can sleep as well as those who are drunkards, addicts and many others. Here they can come to, they will be rendered help, tidied, and then offered to change their life, to have a rehab course and to start to live as normal people.

10 prisoners from the colony of settlement get temporal freedom to attend Sunday Worship in the Church of Good Changes. Many of them have never been to the service in modern church that is why being so impressed they make a decision to stay and serve to God in Mariupol when their term is over.

The first and basic dream that people in the rehab center in Kulikovo pray for is to develop youth ministry that would attract young people of this village and the nearest ones.

Sergey Cherepanov, nickname Pushkin, used to compose poems. But presently he found himself in other direction. The former street kid has become a professional dancer.

Having quite a big experience in rehabilitation of teens addicted of drugs and alcohol the workers of the Charity Fund “Pilgrim” decided to help the teenagers in the US.
The problem of drug addiction among the young generation of the former USSR citizens living in the USA is huge. The relates and parents who got to know about the successfull work of the rehab project in Ukraine try their best to send their offspring to Ukraine.

In early august the long awaited guests from Czech Republic and Poland came to the center of children’s rehabilitation “Republic “Pilgrim”.
